Leadership decisions leave traces in decks, threads, and calendar — rarely in a queryable memory layer. ExecIntel is our bet on decision capture leaders can actually reuse.

Executives do not lack information. They lack continuity across quarters — why we chose vendor A, what we told the board about margin, which risk we accepted with documented tradeoffs. Assistants summarize the week; they rarely preserve decision-grade memory with provenance.

ExecIntel is early house product work on that gap: not another dashboard, a path toward decision memory on the same platform rails as the rest of Rumble Built.

What decision memory is not

Decision memory is not:

• A folder of board decks nobody searches
• A ChatGPT thread titled "Q3 strategy"
• A CRM note field updated when someone remembers

It is a durable record of what was decided, on what evidence, with what expected review date — retrievable by leaders and their authorized assistants without re-briefing the chief of staff.

That bar overlaps institutional memory but the capture moments differ. Leaders decide in meetings, memos, approvals, and exceptions — not only in tickets and repos.

Why generic AI fails leaders

Three friction points repeat:

Confidentiality. Leadership context is high sensitivity. Paste into public models is not a strategy; bounded retrieval is.

Narrative without evidence. Summaries read well. Auditors and boards ask for source — who said what, which version of the forecast, which policy applied.

Horizon mismatch. Operators need this week's context. Leaders need multi-quarter through-lines — the same class of drift we describe in operations was always the strategy, at executive altitude.
